The Nike Victory Spikes

These spikes are awsome. They are good for almost any type of running. Doesnt matter if you are long distance or a sprinter. They say they are made for long distance, but ive sprinted in them before and they are great at it. They are also really light weight. They only weigh 3.2 oz. witch is the second lightest spike in the world.

This record hasn't been broken since 1999!

What should you eat after a run?

There are a lot of different foods you should eat after you run and there are a lot of foods that you shouldn't eat after your run. Some foods you should stay away from are candies. Candy doesn't do anything for you after you run except give you a sugar high. Power bars are a really good thing to eat after your run because they have a lot of protein in them. One of the best things to drink for runners is chocolate milk. It is so refreshing after a run and it also has a lot of calcium.

When to replace running shoes.

When is it time to get new running shoes? Well usually, running shoes last for about 6 months if you just run regularly. If you do more than just casual running, you might need to replace them sooner. You should check the bottoms of your shoes after every run to make sure you still have tread on your shoes. If there are parts of your shoes that are starting to wear down, it's time to get new shoes. If your shoes are showing signs of getting holes in them, don't wait until you actually get a hole in your shoes, replace them.

My opinion on barefoot shoes.

Barefoot shoes are very good if you want to feel like you have nothing on your feet. They are very light weight and make you feel like nothing is on your feet. They are most common on long distance runners that run ultra-marathons that witch are 50 mile and 100 mile races.
If you are looking for support on your feet, these are not the way to go. These have almost no support and after a while, your feet will start hurting. The reason is, is that they are meant to make you feel like you have no shoes on and they are so thin and are so light, they would be impractical if you have any leg problems. If you are starting these and you have problems with your feet hurting, don't not use them; give them time.

Dont run yourself into a injury!

Do you hurt when you run? If it's a one day thing then it just goes away, you might still be ok. If it goes on for about 72 hours or more, you might have a problem. If you run hard and it's hurting after you run, it isnt uncommon. If you are a marathon runner and you go on a 10 mile run and you feel bad after you run, that would be normal. Like I said, if it goes on for 72 hours or more, you should probably seek a professional to see if it is more serious. If you are playing a sport and you think you are injured, don't just blow it off. Tell your coach and he will most likely bring you to your schools trainer.
An example of an injury could be that you could have a stress fracture in a part of your leg. These are very common in runners that run any distances. Some signs that you might have it would consist of hurting after about a week after a long run, swelling in the part of your leg that you think you have the stress fracture, and you slow down "alot" from the pain.
